The basics
What is Timewent?
Timewent is a day log for ADHD and time blindness, on iPhone, iPad and Mac: you add a photo, a voice note or one line as your day goes, and it shows you where the time went.
It also holds every messy thought in one place, called Stash, and keeps your own notes on what sets you off and what helps, called Patterns.
Who is it for?
Timewent is for people who lose track of time, such as adults with ADHD or anyone with time blindness, who want to see where their day went without keeping a perfect record.
It is not for someone who wants to plan or schedule the day. That needs a planner, and Timewent is not one.
What is time blindness?
Time blindness is trouble sensing how much time has passed or how long something takes, and many people with ADHD describe it.
Timewent does not fight it with alarms. It gives you a record to look back on: what you did, when, and for how long.
What devices does it run on?
Timewent runs on iPhone, iPad and Mac: iOS 18 or later, iPadOS 18 or later, and macOS 15 or later on a Mac with Apple silicon.
There is no Android, Windows or web version. On a Mac it runs the iPad app, so a Mac with an Intel chip cannot run it.
It is in English only for now.
What does it cost?
Timewent costs $29.99 a year, starting with a 7-day free trial, or $49.99 once for good.
Prices are in US dollars. In other countries they can be different, and the App Store shows your price before you pay.
The one-time price costs less than two years of the yearly plan.
Can I try it before paying?
Yes: “Have a look around” opens the whole app filled with sample days, with no sign-in and no payment.
When you want to keep your own days, sign in with Apple and start the 7-day free trial of the yearly plan, or buy it once.
How it works
How do I log my day?
Tap the round Add button on Today and add a photo, a voice note or a line of text; it takes a few seconds.
Each log can have a start and an end time and one of six tags: Work, Chores, Social, Self Care, Leisure or Nap. One bar shows how your day was shared between them, and a month view shows your days with their photos.
What is Stash?
Stash is where you dump things without sorting them: notes, lists, photos, links, quotes and bits of HTML.
Search finds them later. If you want some order, make a container for a trip or a project, star what matters and let go of the rest. Ask for a reminder and it comes back at 9 in the morning on the day you pick.
What are Patterns?
Patterns is where you write down what you already know about yourself: for a trait such as Restless, Foggy, Can’t start or Overwhelmed, a few short lines on what makes it better and what makes it worse.
When you log that trait on Today, your own lines show up, so the advice in the moment is your own. You can name a trait in your own words too.
What is Focus?
Focus is a work session you start with one tap: it shows active and paused time, lets you jot down what comes up, and has an optional timer.
Its time and notes are cleared when you end the session.
What is Works?
Works gathers your work logs by project and by epic, a smaller part of a project, with how long each took and what you decided.
Does it send reminders?
Timewent only sends the reminders you ask for: a Stash reminder on the day you pick, the Focus timer, and a note two days before a free trial ends.
It never nags you to log.
Does it sync between iPhone, iPad and Mac?
Yes, through your own iCloud: devices signed in to the same Apple Account with iCloud on show the same entries.
What it does not do
Is Timewent a planner or a to-do app?
Timewent is not a planner or a to-do app: it shows where your time went and does not schedule your day.
Is it a medical app?
Timewent is not a medical app: it does not diagnose or treat ADHD, and it gives no medical advice.
It is a personal log. For diagnosis or treatment, talk to a doctor.
Does it use AI?
Timewent sends nothing you write to an AI company or to any server of ours.
Stash uses Apple’s on-device tools to help you find things later: it can read the words in a saved photo and add search words, all on your device. You can turn this off for any entry.
Are there streaks, scores or badges?
Timewent has no streaks, scores or badges, and nothing is lost if you miss a day.
Log when it helps. The record is still useful with gaps in it.
Is it on Android or the web?
Timewent is only on iPhone, iPad and Mac; there is no Android, Windows or web version.
Privacy and your data
Where is my data stored?
Your entries are stored on your devices and in your own iCloud; Timewent has no server and no account with us, so we cannot see what you write, photograph or record.
If iCloud is off, your entries stay on the device.
Does Timewent track me?
Timewent has no ads, no analytics and no tracking, and nothing is sold or shared.
If you allow it in your device settings, Apple shares anonymous crash reports with app developers, us included.
Can I get my data out?
Yes: in the app, open You and tap Export everything to get one .zip with your logs, Stash and patterns, and every photo and voice note.
Keep it in Files or iCloud Drive as your own copy.
How do I delete everything?
In the app, open You and tap Delete account: it deletes your logs, Stash and patterns from this device and from your iCloud, so from every device, and it cannot be undone.
It does not cancel a plan. Apple keeps billing a yearly plan until you cancel it in Settings.
What happens to my days if my plan or free trial ends?
Your entries stay: you can still open, read and export everything, and adding new things needs a plan again.
Plans and payment
How do I cancel the free trial?
On your iPhone, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, then Timewent, and cancel at least 24 hours before the free week ends.
Cancel in time and you pay nothing. If you allow notifications, the app reminds you two days before the free week ends.
What if I buy the one-time version during the free trial?
Cancel the yearly plan as well, or Apple will charge it when the free week ends; the app tells you and opens the screen to cancel it.
Can my family share it?
Purchases are not shared through Family Sharing: a plan covers the Apple Account that bought it, on all of its devices.
Why is the app still locked after I paid?
Tap Restore purchase on the pay screen while signed in to the Apple Account you paid with.
If that does not help, write to hello@timewent.com.
How do I use a promo code?
Tap Redeem a code on the pay screen and type the code.
How do I get a refund?
Refunds are handled by Apple, because Apple sells the app: ask at reportaproblem.apple.com or from your purchase history.
Your rights under the law where you live still apply.
